This is the beginnings of the Texas Ubuntu LoCo team website.
I'm Loye Young, and I own Isaac & Young Computer Company, which is a manufacturer of computers that are preloaded with Ubuntu. One of our divisions, IYCC for Business hosts websites and provides other services for business and providers of Internet content.
I have taken it on myself to start this site, which isn't very democratic of me, but has the decided advantage of (i) getting done, and (ii) being free to the group. I am toe-tapping happy to hand over the reins of running things to whoever wants the job. I've already volunteered one person to help administer the site, and I'm hoping that if I neglect the site enough she or someone else will actually take over the work part.
All that aside, this site belongs to the Texas Team, so sign up and start blogging/organizing/flaming, etc. If anyone wants the site reconfigured, expanded, or otherwise changed in any way, you need merely to send me an email.
Oh, one more thing. As an added bonus, when you sign up on the site, I'll set you up with an email forwarding address from the texas-ubuntu.org domain. You will have a "username @ texas-ubuntu.org" address that will be forwarded to your regular email address. For the time being, I have to manually set it up, so it won't happen instantaneously.
This note is getting too long, so I can't remember if I've already shameless plugged my company's new product, the Laredo Cuadrado Cube Computer. We're very proud of it, so go take a look and order one.
Happy Trails,
Loye Young
